Starting from October 2024, a diverse group of Groningen residents has been mapping out what it means to “feel at home” in the province of Groningen, in collaboration with the art space ARTisBOOK and Subjective Editions. Part of the organised series of workshops with partner organisations, Oudeschip hosted a session where the villagers explored how they can depict their sense of home in Groningen while the impact of the expansion of the Eemshaven and the Oostpolder is strongly felt in Oudeschip. How do the residents of these villages experience their home, now that it is increasingly under pressure and they feel compelled to take action to preserve it?

This project is made possible by the Province of Groningen, the Kunstraad, and the Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie.
